Beth Green and I grew up together at Greenwood High School and have been friends for over 30 years! 

 

She has a very special place in my heart.  I've watched her blossom in her community and with her students. She is always sharing funny stories that make us laugh. "Kids say the darndest things".

​

Remember that one friend from your hometown that enjoys keeping everyone connected by hosting social events and keeping everyone else's memory alive. 

 

That's Beth Green.

Beth made a social media post recently asking her friends if they would want to join her this year in her 2nd-grade classroom in September to volunteer for 1 hour to read to her students. 

​

I said  YES, and then I started thinking of a way that I could include all of my author friends in this process and make a bigger impact for Beth and her students.

​

Beth's Mom Maria passed away in 2021, and my heart was so sad because Beth has such a special heart for serving others.  I wanted to find a way to honor both Beth and her mother's memory. 

Beth is always giving to everyone in her community.  Her heart is as big as the state of Texas, and it's time to give back to her in a very special way.

​

I'm creating this BOOK DRIVE from all of my AUTHOR friends of 2nd Grade Reading Level Books that we can GIVE to BETH's CLASSROOM in memory of her sweet mom Maria. 

​

Beth has 20 students in her classroom, and I'd like to collect as many books as possible from you before Sept 19th.

I'd like to give Beth's students your books when I visit them LIVE.
